Lincoln Lake was a beautiful hike. It has a 4 mile loop that takes you through some woods then over the dam. The dam is more of a stroll than a hike and you are exposed to high winds, or at least we were! It was too cold and rainy for me and after I stepped into some water in terrible shoes, we turned around rather than press on. We hiked most of the trail, but who knows what beauty and splendor may exist in that last little part of the path?
Some of the mysteries we encountered included evidence of driads. Something obviously lured this poor horse into the tree and trapped it! Of course, the trail did say no horses….

I think it looks more like a bird. BTW, nice looking blog!
That’s what Justin said! It’s def. a horse in person! I highly recommend going out to take a peek.
Beautiful, Starr, and good for you for starting a blog and cool to do one together. But where is Lincoln Lake? How do you get there?
Hi Mendy,
If you click the link in the post to Lincoln Lake you will go to the website with directions. Basically you take 62 to Lincoln and turn right onto the road just before the American Drive In. I think it’s on that road, there might be one more turn…. that website will tell you for sure. It was beautiful!
Also at the bottom of my post is a link to Google Maps. And your right Starr it’s on that road which is Jackson Highway.
Love this blog Starr & Justin!! Can’t wait to read more (and to go on this hike too!) Love it!
